Do the City of London for Free

The proper City of London, also known as the Square Mile, is actually only a small area east of central London. This is the financial and business center of London, where you'll find the suit-wearing bankers and stockbrokers frantically dashing to and fro. Come the weekend, however, this busy area becomes much quieter and is well worth a visit. It's full of historical buildings stacked next to modern additions... and there's plenty to do for free.
